Kaspersky Is So Much Memory In My Pc. How Do I Reduce The Momory Usage Of This Antivirus?

I’m using Kaspersky in both my laptop and desktop. I previously used the antivirus version and it didn’t use that much memory as much as the internet security version doesn. So, i again installed the antivirus version but I don’t see much difference. My desktop has only 256RAM. I can’t do anything else if I open 2 application. But I can’t rely on other antivirus softwares because their detection rate suck. (believe me, I’m an antivirus pro). So. What should I do now?

IMO, after trying out different antivirus, Kaspersky is the best in terms of effectiveness in catching virus and also the system resources usage.
For your problem, frankly 256MB is far too low for the computer nowadays. Your best bet is to upgrade your memory (RAM) or use a lower version of kaspersky, which has a lower requirements on the memory

I had the same problem before. Install Kaspersky Antivirus version if u haven’t. It will reduce your memory usage. remember, Internet Securities are always RAM hogger even though they secure ur PC.

Honestly, it would be a very bad idea for you to try to adjust the memory the program uses. Your best bet is to upgrade your RAM, not adjust software that was meant to run underneath a certain virtual space.
